Magik Johnson, one of New Zealand's biggest Dj's/producer, is back with a huge record.
East West Connection / The Bushman is a double A side and the first EP from his much anticipated solo album "You Are Sound" due for release in Spring 2008.
East West Connection has already gone down a storm with DJ's across the board, it's eastern chants, jacking, electronic groove and anthemic synths finding favour with everyone from Oakey and Fedde Le Grand to Nic Fanciulli and Kenny Hawkes. East West is a main room monster in the making with an unforgettable riff and simple but effective vocals.
Flip for "The Bushman", a techy groover for the heads down crowd which has been getting plays from the likes of Laurent Garnier, Yousef and Laidback Luke. Funky and driving, "The Bushman" comes complete with remixes by international bassline freaks Crookers, and a more laid back rub from emerging Underwater talents Arveene and Misk.
