Jamie McHugh & rising star Chiller join forces on this stunning new digital EP for Underwater. Jamie McHugh has been making waves for a while now; his slick productions on recent singles 'H2O' and 'Lunar' have garnered support from Carl Cox, Digweed. Revival is a dark piano led atmospheric track perfect for those mid-set dramatic moments.
Chiller is a hot new producer from London recently discovered by Underwater. He caught our ear with a string of excellent productions, the first of which is Feel It.
Feel It is a real groover with classic synths and a distinct acid flavour. Both producers have a number of tracks ready to go, so look out for upcoming releases and remixes on Underwater soon. You heard it here first.

The legendary 'Underwater Records' celebrates 100 releases and more with a collection of its finest moments.
Founded by Darren Emerson in 1994, originally as an output for himself and the artists he met along his travels, Underwater grew to become one of the most influential dance labels of the early noughties. Responsible for numerous worldwide hits such as Tim Deluxe – 'It Just Wont Do', Gus Gus – 'David' and many more, the list of producers on Underwater is impressive.
The brand was responsible for four infamous Ibiza seasons at Pacha as well as 7 years at The End club in London. The culmination of the Underwater Records story in 2003 saw the label win the label of the year award in DJ Magazine. Albums from Tim Deluxe, Gus Gus, Mutiny, Pnau, Sharam Jey, Magik Johnson and singles by Arthur Baker, D. Ramirez, Paul Woolford, Joel Mull, Smith & Selway, Paul Jackson and so many more are a testimony to how much quality has seen the light of day through the label.

Desperate is the work of Ante Perry & Kolombo, both main players on the club scene in their respective countries of Germany and Belgium.
Ante runs his own label Moonboutique and releases on Systematic and Two faces. Kolombo is one half of Belgian duo Loulou Players who have remixed everyone from Joachim Garraud and John Aquaviva to Chelonis R. Jones and Zoo Brazil.
Desperate is a slow building rhythmic track that drops into a huge bassline complete with cutting snares and fog horn. Producers of the moment Minicoolboyz are on remix duties and deliver a much lighter, bouncy workout with an infectious groove. These guys are definitely ones to watch with several very high charting tracks on beatport as well as releases coming up on Dubfire’s Sci+Tec Digital Audio imprint.

In our opinion Deepgroove’s tracks keep getting better and better. 'Annihilate' is simply a beast of a techno track that will drive any dancefloor into a frenzy.
The remixes are impressive as well with Ed Banger man Brodinski injecting some funk and bounce into his version and Remute re-jigging it into a non-nonsense big room techno track.
The package comes complete with DJ tools, look out for further mixes from Joseph Capriati and Tomas Andersson on the way….

Just when we thought Annihilate couldn’t get any better…it did.
Man of the moment Joseph Capriati leads the way with this new remix package, offering a dark and twisted take on the original, full of atmosphere and the mightiest of breakdowns that will send any crowd into a frenzy…
Tomas Andersson goes down the acid route with a laid back yet speaker rattling, bass driven interpretation of the track.
Deepgroove round things off with their very own re-vamped version, turning Annihilate upside down and inside out, unleashing a new incarnation of the original beast.

Our New Zealand cohort Magik Johnson is back on Underwater with his new single Blame Dodger.
Featuring the vocals of Morning Star, Blame Dodger has got that irresistible old school jacking flavour.
On remix duties is hot new talent HiJack. Fresh from remixing Moby and having a guest mix broadcast on Kissy Sell Out's Radio 1 show, HiJack takes the track for a squelchy fidget work out.

Fresh from releases on Cocoon, Rekids and Klang Elektronik, Deepgroove aka Grayson Shipley and Lee Pattison are back on Underwater with another techno gem.
Following up last year’s release Bad Acid, Spike is a peak time monster, its rolling bassline and break down have been shaking dancefloors the world over and it’s already going on Crookers forthcoming I love techno mix CD.
The remix comes courtesy of producer of the moment, Mark Broom, whose recent tracks “Melting Pot” and “Sneak” have been charted by DJ’s right across the board. Broom takes the track to the next level for a similar techno work out but with added punch and atmosphere.

Jamie McHugh, one of the hottest producers on the techno scene, is back with the remix package of his acclaimed debut album out on Underwater last year.
Kicking things off are the rising stars of dance music Paul Ritch and Okain under their Handycraft alias taking Jamies 2nd single Lunar down a dark and twisted route. Label founder Darren Emerson has used this one on his latest GU comp.
Next up another up and coming talent, James Harcourt turns H2O upside down into a banging techno monster not for the faint hearted.
McHugh provides two new versions of album tracks The Trip and Straight Up whilst Jamie Stevens and Gary Beck each tackle H2O. Stevens turns it into a bouncy techy number whilst Beck goes down a slightly more experimental route with a chuggy effects filled workout.

Deepgroove aka Grayson Shipley and Lee Pattison, our favourite party
animals, are always ready to translate their epicurean energy into
speaker rattling records.
The duo are back on Underwater with 'Bad Acid', another steam roller of a track ready to flatten everything in its path.' Bad Acid' looks set to match the noise caused by Jus Luv Rave and Altern8or, with its rolling bass and sirens designed to keep any dancefloor pumping until its light outside, and continuing the momentum the boys set in motion with last year's DJ magazine award for best breakthrough act, and debut releases on Klang and Made To Play.
The remix comes courtesy of producer of the moment, Style Of Eye, aka Swedish based Linus, who's been kicking ass again recently with releases on Dirty Bird and Pickadoll, and has hit the mark here as the mix builds from a deep minimal groove to all out riff assault, a combo that's going to work for K heads and fidget freaks alike.
To round things off Deepgroove have updated and re-vamped Jus Luv Rave into a 2008 version, just as good as the original but with added bass, bleeps and balls.

Jamie McHugh, one of the hottest producers on the techno scene, is back with his second single Lunar. Already supported by DJ’s such as Laurent Garnier and Slam, it is the perfect follow up to H2O which was graced by an excellent Raudive remix and was played on dancefloors across the world by Carl Cox, Darren Emerson, Sasha & Digweed, Nick Warren to name a few…
Lunar is a funky techno track with an amazing groove that will drive any dancefloor into a frenzy…This release comes complete with a storming remix by John Selway, who is no stranger to Underwater, his productions with Christian Smith are now amongst some of the labels classics… Higher rounds the single off niceley, a deep twitchy tech house number for those opening slots…

Jamie McHugh is Underwater’s new prodigy. With releases already under his belt for Brique Rouge, CR2, Lot 49 and more, we jumped on the opportunity to sign this amazing selection of tracks when the opportunity arose. The first single H2O has already gone down a storm with Sasha, James Zabiela, Pete Tong, Slam, Satoshii Tomie, Nic Fanciulli etc. and has also picked up some Radio 1 plays on the show In New Music We Trust with Mistress De Funk and on Eddie Halliwell’s show too. The album is pre-dominantly techno with some softer interludes and forms an overall impressive package. The album opens on a soft piano riff and then gets right into the thick of it with a couple of deep house numbers. The next few tracks are atmospheric tech-house pieces full of cool basslines and samples…then the techno kicks in. Highlights include singles I Get Deep, Lunar and then onto Sasha’s favourite H2O. Just like Jamie’s DJ sets, the album simply builds and builds with one storming track after another taking the listener through different moods and grooves. The album intro acts as the outro as well. A great all round piece of work that we are delighted to have on the label. Mixes from Raudive, John Selway, Handycraft and Jamie Stevens to follow.

H2O is an absolute monster on the dancefloor as is I Get Deep. H2O’s biggest supporter has been Sasha who has been playing it in every set over the last few months and as proof we have so far discovered at least four youtube videos of him playing it out to hysterical crowds…
To boost the package, trendy minimalist Raudive has provided us with a corking re-work of H2O wich has already found favour with top names such as Laurent Garnier and Miss Kittin.
Expect a lot more from Jamie this year as we prepare to drop the album in July and send him on a world tour to promote it…

It’s a long way from the early days when Magik rocked his own room at the legendary Manchester nightclub The Hacienda. From there an interest in production developed, and before long he was producing tracks for Cream’s Olympic label, New Order’s Pleasure Recordings and Manchester’s Paper Recordings collective.
Since making the move from England to New Zealand in the early 2000’s, Magik has made himself at home down under, although his heavy production output means DJs around the world are never short of a piece of Magik to throw in their sets.
It’s from this antipodean sanctuary that Magik’s second album, You Are Sound, has emerged. The album slides with ease from ambient bubblers to banging club tunes, making several diversions along the way and pulling in some of New Zealand’s premier vocal talent to help out. Listen for the massive first single ‘East West Connection’, which leaves dancefloors quivering in its tech electro wake. Released alongside ‘The Bushman’, this lead up single features mixes by Crookers, Greg Churchill and Arvene & Misk….
The album is a special double CD with CD1 aimed at home listening and CD2 containing club mixes, extended versions as well as a few remixes done by Magik himself.
